For the past two years Peggy Dylan, an inspiration and guide to many and the "mama" of the Western Firewalking movement, has helmed the Global Firewalking Assocation as our President. Today we announce a passing of the torch: Peggy is transitioning to our GFA Advisory Committee as I step into the position of President of the GFA.

Greetings and Farewells
Under Peggy's direction the GFA Board created multiple online events (all recorded in the video section of our website), revamped our website, and started our monthly Firewalk Instructor Circle.
I am deeply honored to help guide the GFA forward to deepen our support of the firewalk schools, firewalk Instructors, and firewalkers that we serve. A little about me: I trained with both Peggy Dylan and Tolly Burkan in 1991, and have been training Firewalk Instructors under Sundoor since 2010. I've been on the GFA Board since 2020.
From all of us on the Global Firewalking Association Board of Directors we look forward to continuing to explore and act to best help you share the healing and inspiration of the fire.
We also share another huge transition this month: It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of our dear friend, GFA Board Member, and Eight Directions Firewalk Master Rolf Beckman. Besides being a beam of light in the firewalking community, Rolf was instrumental in helping to bridge the "new" GFA, and his enthusiasm and love were invaluable for our organization, International Firewalk Day, and The Gathering.

ROLF'S IMMENSE CONTRIBUTION HONORED
"At the core of my teachings is always the celebration," says Rolf, "the sheer fascination of the mystery that we are alive. The firewalk is the perfect epitome for this mystery. Every time in front of the coals it seems impossible to walk on them, yet it's very easy, even comfortable, once the decision is made. Same in life. Once we decide to accept the fleeting reality of ourselves and live our lives on this basis of truth, it becomes easy and comfortable and struggle disappears. Life doesn't always smile and every person has his share of sorrow and losses, but every situation has a compatible set of mind and as long as we are willing to exercise our emotional and spiritual muscles it is possible to flow with the changes."
A tribute to Rolf Olof Beckman:
"So my friend, so my friend, how can I tell you how much that I care? You have given me so much pleasure I LOVE YOU SO."
Rolf Olof Beckman passed away on the 10 of March 2023. He was my true Friend, my Master and we had the TIME of our LIFE with firewalking together for more than a decade. We walked the fire together all aorund the globe in Portugal, Costa Rica, Latvia, Hungary, China, the Checz Republic... to name a few. I had learned so much from Rolf about firewalking, who was my mentor and for his friendship and guidance I feel forever grateful.
I truly believe in afterlife, so I believe we will walk the fire again in Heaven my dear friend! (Try getting the best wood while we arrive...) LOVE & FIRE: Bence and Mody

LEVELS OF MEMBERSHIP OVERVIEW
We offer three levels of membership: Firewalker, Associate Firewalking Instructor, and Professional Firewalking Instructor.
Firewalkers: For all people who love Firewalking; anyone can join for free.
Associate Firewalking Instructors: For certified Firewalk Instructors and Masters (including fire tenders).
Professional Firewalking Instructors: At our highest level, Professional members are certified Firewalking Instructors and Masters who are leading their own events. Professional members get access to our largest array of articles, support and marketing.
We still have special rates for our Associate and Professional members, so if you want to upgrade now is a great time.
Our mission is to bring more energy and resources to fire up your life, your teachings, and your vision. Imagine what we can do together, connected by our love of the fire.
The Global Firewalking Association is a not-for-profit membership organization that serves professional firewalk instructors and firewalking enthusiasts.
The GFA aims to serve its members by being a source for the millions of people who have become interested in firewalking over the last five decades. Apart from creating the biggest knowledge bank on firewalking, providing an opportunity for its active members to reach millions, and offering live and online teaching events, the GFA also uses its shared purchasing power for insurance and other services.
